Shannon Algeo & Seane Corn Discuss Who You Can Become When You Put Down Your Phone & Pick Up Your Life

A recording from Shannon Algeo and Godmothers's live video

Dear Community,

I am still buzzing from the energy at Godmothers last night with Seane Corn. I want to bottle up the magic of this evening and keep it with me forever. Once in a blue moon. Quite literally. Wow.

Seane did such an excellent job stewarding the perfect conversation about The Power in Your Hands. Not only did she read the book cover to cover, she vulnerably disclosed her own process of assessing her complex relationship to technology through reading the book.

I looked around the room, full to the brim, “standing room only,” and I glanced into the eyes and hearts of dear friends and colleagues, my parents and sister, new faces I had yet to meet, and even the amazing co-founder of Godmothers, Jennifer Rudolph Walsh herself and her lovely mother.

What I’m realizing is this: We are all hungry to be talking about the elephant in the room. Our relationship to technology is impacting us emotionally, relationally, and creatively. And we want change. It’s up to us now to gather, to re-humanize, and to remember the unstoppable power of the heart’s wisdom. Human Intelligence and strengthening the wisdom-muscle of the heart can free us from the distortions and delusions of a digitized, artificially-obsessed world.

I have chills as I write to you this morning because I feel very blessed that I got the opportunity to write this book and to share it with you. I feel proud that I wrestled with my own addiction to technology successfully enough to get this book out onto the page and now out into the world. I feel like we’ve crossed a threshold. It’s time to start talking and sharing. In real rooms with real humans. In shared, embodied spaces. Just like Godmothers, and beyond.

Thanks to the Godmothers’ audio/visual team, we have a special live stream recording of the “secret chord” resonance that encapsulated the magic of May 31 in Summerland, under the fullest, bluest moon.

I hope you enjoy this deep, meaningful, and fun conversation with me, Seane Corn, and the Godmothers audience. Thank you to all who came out to help initiate the crossing of this threshold of publication. A book is born!

Thank you for ordering your hardcover copy and even some extras to share with your beloveds and community. This is a book to read and practice together.

With Gratitude and Le Grá (Irish for With Heart),
